Work & Highlights

Iterators
Co-founded in 2013. Iterators is a software consulting company in Warsaw — I'm Managing Partner. That means admin, finance, HR, but mostly: I stay in the trenches. Architecture reviews, coding standards, unblocking developers, hands-on CTO work for clients.

CTO at Obi
I've been with Obi from the very beginning — back when it was the founder, me, and a couple of engineers, no leadership layer. When the product caught on, I formally stepped into the CTO role: running point with clients, keeping the engineering side honest. Through 2025 we dropped nearly everything else to integrate new providers, and somewhere in that grind I learned how many riders depend on mobility as a daily lifeline, not a one-off convenience. When the pressure came to abandon the work and do a full-app rewrite, I refused.

Open Source
Most of our OSS work lives under the Iterators GitHub org. Some highlights:
- akka-http-microservice — Example HTTP microservice in Scala & Akka HTTP.
- kebs — Scala library to eliminate boilerplate.
- sealed-monad — For-comprehension-style error handling in Scala.
- http4s-stir — Pekko HTTP-style DSL directives for http4s.
- baklava — Generate OpenAPI docs or TypeScript clients from routing tests.
Personal projects on github.com/luksow include Madrileño — an AI-first Scala backend template, an OS written from scratch in C, and a concurrent program debugging library.
